Balaka - Remixes

Warung Recordings welcome Boghosian for their next release, and he is the club's celebrated resident DJ. He has also been voted as Brazil's number one DJ three years in a row and has released on labels like Yoruba, Cecille and others. The story with this release is it's a remix EP from an original track that came out on Cecille Numbers (Nick Curly and Marc Scholl 's now extinct label) in 2011 but Nick and Marc kindly let Boghosian put together this remix pack for Warung. As well as his Melodic dub mix, Blond:Ish and Huay also remix.

That original, Balaka (Melodic Dub Mix) is six deep and warm minutes of elastic house music. The baseline is textured and inviting and the percussion is loose and free. It's a laid back groove to get you in the mood and will make a great impact in the club.

Montreal duo and Kompakt regulars Blond:Ish then step up with a mix that gets into the cosmos, with spiritual keys and chords and a nice light, airy groove all transporting you to another world. Last of all, D-Edge associate and Brazilian artist Hauy remixes into a deep, horizontal track with majestic keys and chords all soothing your soul as the rubbery beats roll on.

This is another tasteful package from the ever on point Warung.
