Closer to Blade EP

The fourteenth release on 3Underground appears in the main craft series - where every track is built on live hardware synthesis.

Experimental Dance Music Lab is the project of Samara-based music maker Yuri Savelyev. He admits that his initial idea was to create an old-school techno album, inspired by the cult theme from a film about a vampire who can walk in the daylight and fights his own kind. The first layers of all tracks were recorded on Behringer TD-3 and Behringer Crave, later arranged and processed in a DAW. But eventually, the raw techno drive shifted towards a more personal sound - a state of anxious contemplation, as the artist himself describes it.

The EP features four original tracks in the spirit of acid and acid techno with moderate BPM and a strong focus on detail. Instead of a straightforward, heavy-handed approach, the sound leans toward a more refined and thoughtful reading of the genre - crafted for true connoisseurs.

The release is completed with two remixes: an ambient interpretation by Yuri Savelyev himself and a more techno-oriented version by label owner dj Wadada.
