Antony Doria
label: Variance
Antony Doria was born in Belgium in 1981. Inspired by notorious Belgian techno nightclub Fuse, he began to explore electronic music himself. With loads of influence from Fuse regulars DJ Pierre and Dave Clarke in 2008 Antony Doria, under ther alias Homme Studio released slew of music under that name. In 2016, under his real name, he decided to concentrate solely on techno. He released a single on NB Records in 2016. and In 2017 he published an EP on Rebekahs label, Decoy.
We are delighted to welcome him to the ranks here ar Variance with this wonderful release, Digits is a powerful release, the deep intro, teases into the the two original tracks RX99Z7TY and XF22DF, both of which would absolutely demolish any dance-floor, but both have their own unique and well thought out different styles, all three of the originals show incredible diversity in Antonys range of production skills. There are lots of big things coming Antonys way and it's well deserved, the bombs on this EP are only half the story.
On remix duties we welcome back Brecc for his third outing on the label, and his first remix, sticking to his trademark hard as nails, brash, and pounding style, his remix of RX99Z7TY is one to behold, be careful as this one could actually demolish a building. On XF22DF we have label head Scenedrone, with a tamer interpretation of the original, it's got bang, but the intricate synth sounds, sparse percs, and piano stab, make for a very different journey then the rest of the EP. All round, we think there is something for most techno aficionados on here, definitely club fodder. Enjoy our 40th release.
