Vancouver, BC native, Kearse Werts, aka Kid Kurse, represents a new wave of young bass music producers, forging the sounds of tomorrow, by paying homage to the past. He creates a uniquely modern context that is natural in it's execution and surely a perfect soundtrack for the cold, dark and stormy winter months that lay ahead. Aufect Recordings is proud to introduce the Tunnel Vision EP.

Utilizing razor sharp breakbeat edits, slick production techniques and skillful bassline manipulation, Kid Kurse brings us a heavy-hitting 3 track EP, featuring a collaboration with label bosses, Patrik Cure & HxdB (GREAZUS). Blending elements of classic Jungle, Hip Hop and modern Drum & Bass, we find a talented producer hitting his stride and flexing his studio skills. With a distinct, low-end-loving swagger on each track, he manages to keep the emotional content high, yet the mood dark and somewhat brooding.

The EP's title track, "Tunnel Vision", sets the pace for the affair with a dark motif, sparse drums and spacious pads that eventually progress into a crescendo of broken beats, and a moody bassline. "Scriptage" is up next, and brings more subtle, but sublime breakbeat edits, and a cheeky attitude that makes deft use of space and atmosphere. "Kovu" rounds things off, with an ever-building tsunami of breakbeats and bass, nestled inside of layers of synths and a pulsating bassline that sees KK team up with Vancouver duo, GREAZUS, for an electrifying finale, sure to please Junglists new and old.
