Just as the river Nile flows through to the Mediterranean Sea, I-Trujah's music, filled with messages of upliftment and unification, flow out to the audience every time he takes the stage. Born Tennyson Johnson, I-Trujah was born in the parish of Manchester, Jamaica, W.I. I-Trujah changed his name because of his Rastafarian roots. Coming from a musical family, I-Trujah knew from early that his roots and destiny was music. On many afternoons, I-Trujah would play his guitar for family and friends which prepared him for musical opportunities that would come in the future. At the age of 15, I-Trujah left his homeland for the United States where he studied for a career in Telecommunications at Technical Career Institute. Never straying from his dream of performance, I-Trujah honed his craft, which gave him the opportunity to perform with artists Andrew Tosh, the Mighty Diamonds and Anthony Sistah Nancy, Capleton, brother Jah Mason, cousin Tony Rebel and Johnny Delano of Channel Two Records. I-Trujah has also worked with Phillip smart, Bembeh of Conscious Media, which resulted in the production of the hit Itrucoustic riddim which has enjoyed extensive radio play around the world including the United States, Canada, the UK and Germany. Currently working on his debut album which will be released on the Jah Stars Productions label, I-Trujah takes time to work with up and coming artists, offering them career direction as well as performance opportunities on riddim productions. Some of the songs to be featured on the album include "HIGHGRADE" featuring jahmason on the Jah Stars Production/Rivernile Production/CH.2 ent, as well as " Stars" produced by Dj tetris and "Jamaica" also produce by Dj Tetris. I-Trujah's mission for the upcoming year is to spread words of unliftment and unification and to encourage listeners to think more of Mama Africa.
