Gateway X joins the MRDG series on Monolith Records with an elegant sci-fi/cyberpunk tangled 5 tracker EP. The duo merges industrial tribalism, ambient, electro acoustic improvisations and experimental soundscapes, developing their sound from an hardcore/punk background. Prior to their first incarnations as TG Syndrome and TGS, they had separately been part of the emerging noise and London underground scene of the 90's and are active till this day. The 'Collision' EP is a solid journey exploring distorted Space, characterised by dissonant industrial/post textures falling into atmospheres forged by metallic drones and dysfunctional noise. A thrilling combination where oppressiveness synthetically triggers the emotional scenarios able to build up this intense work.
A Collision is the event in which two or more bodies exert forces of any magnitude on each other in about a relatively short amount of time. By extending this concept to global dynamics, and thinking Economy and Life as two different bodies, we can assume that the exertion of these two forces results in a time-lapsed Collision process.
