Overpowering Space

Sofia Scacco aka Sofiget is an Italian and Roman Artist, passionate about the underground scene since she was very young. She approached the World of Techno through her many travels and through Rome’s nightlife.
This passion quickly transformed into the need to study music and learn the art of disc joking, which immediately became a fundamental part of her work and artistic life. She immediately embarked on a journey at the Electronic Music Division School in Rome where she studied music production.
In the following years Sofiget started to refine her artistic identity towards minimal and microhouse, extremely famous at Goa Club in Rome, which led her to her most important collaboration as a deejay.
Overpowering space is a synonym of what music means to her; an inner revolution in a cramped space. Music immediately becomes an instrument of exploration for new parts of the conscious. The EP has a minimal and mainly dark trend, created by imperfect sound and by the constant loops.
“Lev” is a track that originates from melancholy sounds but grows in intensity thanks to the acidic chord.
In “Perpetual” the tendency and the recurrence of a dark and deep loop emerges from a background of ambient sounds.
“Vagamonde” while maintaining the constant of ambient sounds it marks a break with previous tracks. From a musical point of view it differs in the break structure and in the characteristic sound of the 303.
