Close to you Ep was produced by Sam de dj featuring the soulful artist The uncle Earl Including Remixes from Top Tom and Figo Da dope.

Simamkele Mdanyana known as "Sam de DJ", grew up inthe Eastern Cape. He moved to the South Coast of KwaZulu Natal in 2006 and that is where his love for music started to grow more and more. He started producing for South Coast youth and since then has fallen in love with House music. After listening to DJ Fresh and Oskido's "Hot Old School Jams", he began to produce Kwaito music in 2008 and shortly after fell in love with the keys. He learned to play the keyboard when the love for Soulful House and Jazzy music blew his mind away. He was convinced that his first song will be Soulful House. Sam de DJ has worked with a couple of artists like Happy Mdunjana, known as Happy, who now works with Chinaman, and Giavonni from Italy on the "Heart and Soul" project. He has also worked with Pantsula (The Guy That Plays Percussions in the Dj Black Coffee DVD) and MX Doppe; shared a DJ booth with DJ Clock, DJ Bongs and Mzimba Ionboys. You can catch Sam de DJ playing at different clubs such as Plush Diamonds, Scallas Cafe and Coffee Brown, to name a few.
