Almost two years after the success of their debut album The Tony Allen Experiments featuring the afrobeat master Tony Allen, Nu Guinea released their highly anticipated album Nuova Napoli, considered by many as the album of 2018.

Nuova Napoli is the result of long musical research that has become a historical investigation on the sound that shaped Napoli during the 70s and 80s, starting from the contamination of genres (disco, jazz-funk, African rhythms) which ended up in Nu Guinea’s DNA. The album is an excellent hommage to their hometown in both sound and lyrics that includes the work by the Napoletean poet Eduardo De Filippo on the track 'Ju Vulesse', an anthem that has been well played over the festivals last summer.

Nu Guinea, consisting of the duo Massimo De Lena & Lucio Aquilina, are now bringing the party all the way from Napoli with their full eight-piece band to perform Nuova Napoli live. Put on your dancing shoes, the funk is going to get real on June 26th.
