Joni Mitchell Live: Shadows and Light

Every Wednesday night we screen a music film, playing the audio through our very nice sound system. Diner by the Izakaya serves up eats, and we've got beers from the likes of Hudson Valley Brewing and Evil Twin at the bar (happy hour goes from 5pm to 8pm). A little about the week's film:

In September 1979, Joni Mitchell brought her tour for the Mingus album to the Santa Barbara Bowl in California. With a lineup of all-star musicians like Pat Metheny, Jaco Pastorius, Lyle Mays and Michael Brecker, she performed songs from The Hissing of Summer Lawns, Court and Spark and, of course, Mingus. We'll watch the entire seventy-three minute concert on the big screen and big system.
