Acid Lab returns to Stepping Forward for his sophomore showing on the imprint with more luscious Liquid Drum & Bass vibes in the form of 'Distant Lights' and 'Mr. Evans'. Also on-board for the ride is label boss A1-Voodoo with a wikkid remix of Mr. Evans for the dance-floor heads!

'Distant Lights' continues the laid back vibe of Acid_Lab's previous release bringing an echo'y horn and smooth piano riff that mesh into the endless undulating bass-line. Rolling drums carry you through without breaking the mood. This is the rollers delight! Backing up the opening cut, 'Mr. Evans' continues the vibe with a classy pairing of similar sounds and vibes. And this is where the similarities end as A1-Voodoo's tear-out remix switches up the pace; partly into the first two minutes of the remix a mood change descends and things get devious. Introspective pads and a distinctive arp lead you into the breakdown before dropping into a relentless amen work out.
