Philadelphia native Amanda Blank is known globally for her rapid-fire and hard-hitting rap and dance-based songs taking influences from 80s and 90s indie, new wave and R&B. She has shared tracks with Major Lazer, Lykke Li, Ghostface Killah, and her longtime, frequent collaborator NAEEM (formerly Spank Rock). She belongs to an elite group of female performers who can sing, rap, write sophisticated pop songs, and perform them with electric charm. Since her debut album, I Love You (Downtown Records) and her hit “I Might Like You Better,” she has been featured artist on albums by Mouse on Mars, Boyz Noize, Eli Escobar, and performed as part of the John Prine tribute presented by Bon Iver at his Eaux Claires Festival.

Blank's new album is a collection of haunting love songs, paying homage to her favorite bands as a teenager (the Smiths, PJ Harvey, the Cardigans). She turned to her guitar and wrote an intensely emotional and addictively melodic record. After a decade of deliberately honing lyrics over intricate and raw rap hooks, her new songs offer a unique take on alternative pop.

New single “Oh Man” was co-produced with Steven Haslam and mixed by Damian Taylor (Arcade Fire, Bjork, The Killers).
