Born and raised in a small town christian community in Komani, Eastern Cape, South Africa, Cya Kambi's music rests on a backdrop deeply rooted in the gospel of Jesus Christ. With a rich history in poetry and a qualification and experience in film, television and animation production, she brings about a unique artistic expression to the genre. Her debut single 'Accolades' is a contemporary christian pop jam infused with elements borrowed from the acoustic and folk genres. It is an expression of complete surrender to Jesus, eschewing the exaltation of accolades and placing value on the posture of the heart. Cya Kambi is currently working on her first EP which is set to release towards the end of 2020 and looks forward to a long career in the gospel industry.
