For years, Dale Mabry refused to record any of his music, believing that the only real country music is live music and, in his words, “If you’re too scared to come on out to one of my shows to hear it, then my music ain’t for you.” His first release – “Drink Fight Pray” – represents a break from that longstanding tradition, combining some of his classics with more recent songs about current events. A multi-instrumentalist, Dale Mabry plays all instruments on “Drink Fight Pray” and recorded the entire album alone in his barn studio, even recording one of the songs – “Put Another Quarter (In The Record Machine)” – during Hurricane Irma and powering his studio with a gas generator. “Drink Fight Pray” is a truly unique record by a truly unique musician that every serious country-music fan or historian will want to get to know.
