"The Spider and the Flea" - a rumination on digital life, discomfort, irrational fears, and the desire to share those burdens with another person.
The song began as an instrumental Ableton Live session in June 2017. I almost developed it into a full work for the Black Currant EP. But for one reason or another, I never could finish the song. It took returning to the original session a year later to convince me I needed to make it into something new.
