In our continued quest to bring you the best in fantastical soundtracks for your fractured minds Giallo Disco is proud to present the debut mini album by Gnomus the Norwegian duo of Kristian Kringstad and Are Johansen Ormberg. Begun as a side project to their collaboration as Yogishine, Penombra Oscura describes a paranormal medical thriller, played out in reverse like a giallo Memento or Irreversible. Musically it takes a deep dive into the more radical-freakout-jazz-rock side of classic gialli, though it’s not shy of moody pads, hot monosynth leads and space choirs either!
