A new album from Chinese American rapper jason chu (Warrior, Wu-Assassins, NITEMRKT), living.room began as demos written in his childhood Delaware home. Visiting to move his family out of their house of 24 years, he was inspired to reflect on growth, homecoming, and rest. Completed in 2020 in the midst of a global pandemic and national lockdown, living.room is 10 tracks of thoughtful, thought-provoking rap music for slow, reflective days at home. Masterminded by lo-fi producer Elyonbeats, the album features jazzy overtones and live instrumentation, with warm vocals from indie-pop artist Joe Kye, folk musician Shane Palko, singer/songwriter Leo Xia, and Atlanta rapper Uzuhan.
