It was 2 days after my birthday. I went to the studio to write a new song. I didn't know what I wanted to write about yet, but all I was thinking about was my past birthday. I was listening to the beat in the studio and said, "Let's write about my birthday." I really wanted to get rid of the feelings I had in my body, I wanted to sing them away.
