Up
Bushy tailed and blue eyed soul-stress Helena May had a kick-start to her career by teaming up with Redtenbacher’s Funkestra when she came down from Wales to join battle hardened London Jazz Funk band Redtenbacher’s Funkestra. They recorded an album with Funk covers of popular Pop tunes á la their US West Coast equivalents Scary Pockets. When Helena guested with Backwood Five, a vibrant Austrian offspring of the UK Funkestra they’ve started to add original music to their live shows - ‘Dance’ being one of the tunes which Helena recently released as her first single to pave the path for her solo album to come out soon. ‘Dance’ was created by a writing collaboration of Andreas See, Helena May, Martin Woess, Farina Miss and Stefan Redtenbacher who also produced the single for Helena to help her on her way towards her own artistic ventures. ‘Dance’ remixed by Beat Fatigue is a super hard-hitting and infectious Glitch Hop re-imagination of the original Nu Disco track. We dare you not to dance to this one!
