Ronee Blakley stars in the recent Scorsese film about Bob Dylan’s Rolling Thunder Revue, featuring “Hurricane”, is in the Leonard Cohen documentary “I’m Your Man”, in the French doc about the USA in the 70’s, “We Blew It”, and twenty other films. Ronee is best known for her Academy and Grammy nominated role in “Nashville” and for the classic “A Nightmare on Elm Street”, as well as her musical works. She has appeared on the covers of “Newsweek”, “Interview”, “Cahier du Cinema”, and “The Advocate”. Her duet with Bob Dylan on “Hurricane” became the single for his Number One album “Desire”. She has recorded ten albums of her own compositions, has worked with the greats, three of whom are guitarists on this album: Dave Alvin, Rusty Anderson, and Tony Gylkison. Poetry is a large part of her life. She has toured worldwide for movies, TV, and music. Civil Rights has been her driving force and her life’s goal is an Equal Rights Amendment to the Constitution.
