Spore Portal is a galactivated trance duo project emerging from the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of southern Colorado and northern New Mexico. Driven by decades of passionate experience, Cheves Fleming (aka Eyenok) and Avery Runner (aka Aum Lab) unite forces, blending dark and light influences, exposing a unique cast of energy in their productions together.

Cheves began DJing psytrance in the mid 1990s, rocking heavy tracks for Solar Tribe parties in New Mexico. Avery began blasting around the same era, coming from the Space Dub crew who brought the first psytrance events to Colorado in 1996.

After 20 years of dinking around with synthesizers and drum machines, the two began to collaborate on more serious productions by 2010. Thus the birth of Spore Portal.

This unique self titled composition is Spore Portal’s first solid work, completed years ago and finally re engineered by Avery in 2019 to suit modern standards. With a taste of old school goa in the mix, ethnic samples and prolific statements scatter the track with a taste of trance culture unique to the south west environment where they live. Punchy bass, trippy sound design and tribal percussion bring this masterpiece to a state of frenzy while holding a melodic centeredness and cohesive dynamic range. Welcome to Spore Portal!
