Holding up the flag for The Vaal Triangle(Sedibeng), home to some of the most talented artists, The Phat Ones formed in early 2017 when Jabu Vincent Matlebe (DJ JavaMan) and Bongani Vincent Ngondo(VinceBlack) decided to work together. The partnership went from two music lovers who share the same interests in house to two minds in studio creating the unthinkable, with hopes to one day share their music with the world and telling a story of Africa in a new way. They’ve also worked with names such as Lucia from Idols SA , Mpho Maloka, Tlhaho Ntabanyane and Harvey among on their first single VaalRising. On stage, The Phat Ones bring you a soulful, spiritual, tribal fusion that is accompanied by a strong Deep Tech influence. With Three of their first three singles(Vaal Rising, Two Souls and Qhubeka) getting regular/daily airplay on Mzansi's biggest music tv channels. They are back with a new single titled Close to me.
